Well, my first youtube video that crossed 40k views is for SPIDERMAN NO WAY HOME 4DX EXPERIENCE. It’s a big milestone for a small creator like me. After my quick review of the video, I received more comments which made me think that I should write a detailed review.

Since it’s my first article and a review, please be patient while reading this 😂

Where: I watched Spiderman No Way Home 4DX in PVR Logix Noida nearest metro Noida City center

There are a few other 4DX theatres in Delhi NCR like PVR MGF mall Gurgaon Cinepolis DLF Avenue Saket, PVR Pacific mall Subhash Nagar, etc.

Prices:

The price range depends on the theatre, timings, day, and location.

Orignal ticket price was 640 INR. I received a Paytm coupon discount on it.

My Experience:

My experience was amazing as it was my first 4DX experience and that too SPIDERMAN NO WAY HOME.
I Watched Avengers Endgame in IMAX 3D which was awesome as well.

But for Spiderman, I think it was worth watching in 4DX.

For me, the best scene K experienced in 4DX was the flying scene when Dr. Strange took him to his dimension. It actually felt like you are falling when all the fans were throwing air and the seats vibrating and leaning forward.

That was the most 4DX moment and that is where I loved it.

4DX Features:

First, the main feature of the 4DX theatre is seat movements. It moves, shakes, and vibrates along with the action scene. It is synced with the scenes and the action going on in the movie.
If there is a bike moving left-right, the seats are also going to the movie with it.

A rolling car scene will shake the seats

Second, there are big fans on both left and the right side on the top corners which throws air on the audience on flying or other action scenes to make you feel you are in that scene

Third, whenever there’s a water scene in the movie, there are small water sprinklers in front of the seats which sprinkle like a spray on you.

Fourth, a flashlight is there on any of the top corners which flash in a few of the scenes.

Fifth, there is a smoke feature for a few of the scenes but it was eliminated. I think it is because it creates visibility issues sometimes when it is not required. So it wasn’t there.

4DX has a few negative feedbacks as well.
1- People felt the seat movements disturbing as it was not letting people concentrate on the movie. It happened to me when there was a Normal fight scene and seats were still shaking.
2- Seats are fixed in the 4DX theatre. It means you cannot adjust the back of the seats i.e. lean backward or forward.
3- The screen was comparatively smaller than other theatres, especially IMAX 3D.
4- If the theatre has the smoke effect, it might create a visibility issue i.e. you won’t be able to see the screen clearly until it vanishes completely. (It was not there in my case)

IMAX 3D or 4DX? Which is better?

Now the biggest question of all time is, which cinema is better, IMAX 3D or 4DX.

In my opinion, if you like the concept of 4DX, it is amazing and worth trying but 4DX is available only for a few action movies and not for every movie. IMAX 3D has a bigger and curvy screen which is a whole different experience for most movies. But IMAX 3D is only good when you don’t have a seat in the front or a corner. It is because people end up having migraine or eye pain issues if they are sitting too close to the screen.
